Bahagia means happy in Indonesian. We named the villa Bahagia because the moment we step into our weekend home the villa gives us this happy feeling. And it’s not only us, it’s also the friends we invite and the guests that rent our villa. When you enter the house you walk into the huge living space yet at the same time you see the terrace, the pool and the view. Our villa is right in the middle of the Canggu hustle and bustle yet it’s remarkably quiet and early mornings you hear the birds sing.

We live and work in Jakarta and go to Canggu as often as we can and when we are not in Canggu we rent out the villa. Villa Bahagia is a spacious villa with 4 large bedrooms each with a ensuite bathroom. The villa fits 10 people (either 8 adults or 2 families with children). The semi open living room and large terrace are overlooking the swimming pool and tropical garden. The villa comes with all modern amenities and has a fully equipped kitchen and gas BBQ. Our staff, of 2, will ensure your comfort and will prepare your breakfast, lunch or dinner and look after your needs during your stay.

Whether you stay for a long weekend of for a longer period of time, you will totally feel relaxed and have the Zen feeling Bali gives you.

Villa Bahagia is located in a quiet gang (small street) just of Jalan Raya Semat.
Within a 5 minute drive you are at the beach and the well-known Finn’s Beach Club (www.finnsbeachclub.com). Here you can have your all day pool party or just go for dinner and enjoy the sunset.
The famous Echo beach offers great waves for surfing and can be reached within 10 minutes using the Canggu ‘short cut’. Here they also offer surfing classes for young and old. In Canggu you will see many people riding their motorbikes with their surfboards on their way for some surfing pleasure.
Canggu itself offers many small cafes and restaurants and many are within walking distance. Sprout (www.sproutbali.com) is one of our favorites (500 meters). To prepare their tasty dishes, they use fresh ingredients and many of them are organic.  The Hungry Bird (https://www.facebook.com/hungrybirdcoffee/), owned by an award winning barista, is also in walking distance. Try their BLT and you won’t be disappointed. There is a pizza place (350 meters) which even does home delivery (gore pizza’s). A bit further away just off Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong you will find Crate Cafe (https://www.instagram.com/cratecafe/) where they serve fantastic breakfast and lunch and you will often find the people in line to experience the food. These are just a few but there are many more along both Jalan Raya Semat and Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong. You will also find many shops in this area.
Seminyak and Petitinget, with their many (famous) restaurants, bars and shops, are only a short drive away. Best is to go there and explore and experience it yourself.
A supermarket and motor bike rental are just around the corner. More specialized supermarkets are a short drive away and offer all luxury food and drinks you can think off. Finns Recreation Club  (www.finnsrecclub.com) is known as Bali’s premier entertainment and sporting venue where every one is welcome.

Besides food, Bali offers many great sight-seeing areas. The famous Tanah Lot temple is only 13 km away and a walk around the beautiful terraced rice fields of Tabanan, Jatiluwi, now a Unesco World Heritage site, a 1,5 hr drive away is a must.
